Are there people in the airport that would help me if it's my first time flying?

Yes, you can ask any airline or airport employee for help.

Most airports have an information desk in the baggage claim. They can direct you to what you need.
However, airports are quite simple. If you can read, you should have no problem. Like sheep, just follow the herd

Yes, any staff in the airport will readily help you out if you just ask.

Overall it's fairly easy though.
1. Many airlines offer or even require (they charge fees if you don't do it) an online checkin 24 or 48 hours before departure. You basically just enter your passenger details and get to choose your seat then, and as a result you may get an online boarding pass that you preferably should print out or keep on your smartphone (ensure a full battery!). Alternatively you can check in at the airport.

2. Get to the airport 2.5-3 hours before departure. It's better to be a bit early and to spend some time at a cafe there than to get into trouble with being late. Be aware that parking at the airport for prolonged time is possible but very expensive, so it's best to just be dropped off.

3. Get to your airline's check in point. There you can check in if you haven't alredy done that online and drop off your luggage. Make sure to have checked the luggage weight and size restrictions.

4. Go through security. Be aware what items you may have in your hand luggage and what not (especially regarding fluids). Your hand luggage also must conform to size restrictions.

5. Go to the gate that is listed at your boarding pass. There also are big screens that may inform you of changes of the departure time or gate.

6. Once the boarding starts, enter the plane and enjoy the flight.

7. After landing, at first you may have to go through immigration check if you fly to a different country.

8. Look at the screens that tell you where to collect your luggage and do just that.

9. Pass through customs if necessary.

10. Exit the airport. If you have arranged a transport, then the transport driver usually will wait here with a sign for you. There also may be designated meeting points at the airport.

It may seem a bit complicated, but it's fairly easy. It's a streamlined process and you basically are led through the individual steps almost automatically.

No way. You might throw up. No one wants to be near newbies.

Yes. Ask the airline staff, or any airport staff in uniform. They don't want people wandering around lost either, and it's not as hard as you might think. Follow what everyone else does, or ask at each stage what to do next.
