Visiting a children's hospital?

I was watching a YouTube video of a lady dressed up as a disney princess visiting sick children on their wards and the smiles on their faces were priceless. I'd love to do something like that for the kids at my local hospital but Im not quite sure how to go about it. I'm only 17. I'd love to dress up as a princess and surprise the children and just spend some time with them, I don't want anything from it other than seeing the kids smile. How could I possibly do this? Would I need some kind of qualification or could I have a talk with some of the nurses there? Thank you and God bless!!

YOU WOULD PROBABLY HAVE TO GO TO SOME KIND OF TRAINING TO KNOW WHAT KIDS CAN HANDLE
great idea go for it see what you can do just reading to kids is a great idea.
If you find you cannot do it in a hospital teachers are always looking for people to read to their kids A reading princess would be wonderful. my daughter has actually done this in a local school. She has dresses as a box of color crayons or a princessand we both have been involved for 5/6 years with SMART Start making a reader today. If interested look up a local chapter.

You would need it to be a business that's cleared via hospital contract checks. Which isn't possible at age 17 unless it's someone else's company and you're an employee.

I would join a church group or charity group that would like to do something like this. There might be existing groups that do that and you could join one. That way adults would be involved and the hospital would be more likely to give it an okay.

If you live in the UK - you'd need a DBC check, as you're over 17. You'll have to source this, and pay for it, yourself. You'd also have to purchase the outfit and do a health and safety check on it - and check what regulations the hospital has.
And also be aware that whilst little girls may think that a visit from a Disney princess is wonderful - the boys won't. So maybe consider seeing if you could find a male friend who would be willing to dress up as batman or spider man,
