Are songs in the youtube music library royalty free?

Meaning, if I wanted to incorporate an idea from a song there for my band, would that be copyright infringement/plagiarism if it is royalty free?

(this applies to anything royalty free in general. I am just confused as to what that allows/does not allow legally).

Many thanks

The songs there are available to be commercially used anywhere inside and outside of YouTube, be sure to give the correct credit to the song and you will be fine. here is some info on it: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/3376882?hl=en-GB

You can still be charged with plagiarizing "public domain" works, which simply means failure to disclose that you are not the author. It has nothing to do with copyright.

A work that is "royalty-free" is licensed for that use, without charge. If you exceed the scope of the license, it is (in theory) a copyright infringement. The fact that something is available to the public may affect the duration of its copyright (i.e., 95 years after publication, as opposed to, say 120 years after creation of an unpublished work). Every work is different.

No they're not, you can't monetize it. I mix my own music using Apple's garage band or Logic. Garageband is easy and you can connect using midi.
