questions about esophagus cancer?

there was a time around 2 years ago where I had been drinking and froced my self to throw up and a few months later I had really really bad heartburn and got medicine, and stoppped after a month or two. The heartburn continued but not as severe. I still get pain in the chest and around a year ago I got trouble swallowing and I told my doctor who didnt really think it was a big deal.

It was on and off and has gotten worse, I get chest pain, and I lost around 30 pounds in one semester. I'm really concerned because I have all the symptoms but I feel like I should have done something and I am concerned. I am 20 years old and stressed so I am wondering what I should do. I want to ask the doctor, but I feel like they are not that receptive.
