|x - 1| + |x - 2| = 3

Case 1 : When x < 1 (|x - 1| = -(x - 1) and |x - 2| = -(x - 2))
|x - 1| + |x - 2| = 3
-(x - 1) - (x - 2) = 3
x = 0

Case 2 : When 1 ≤ x < 2 (|x - 1| = x - 1 and |x - 2| = -(x - 2))
|x - 1| + |x - 2| = 3
(x - 1) - (x - 2) = 3
1 = 3
There is no solution in Case 2.

Case 3 : When x ≥ 2 (|x - 1| = x - 1 and |x - 2| = x - 2)
|x - 1| + |x - 2| = 3
(x - 1) + (x - 2) = 3
2x - 3 = 3
x = 3

Hence, x = 0 or x = 3 ...... (Ans)
