i motion to informally divide the house
i motion for personal privilege
i motion to previous question
i motion to adjourn

You would not say "I motion"... you would say "I move to..." or "I make a motion...".
"I move to open debate regarding ..."
"I make a motion that I author the bill."
"I move to informally divide the house." (What the heck does THAT mean?
"I move to invoke personal privilege."
"I make a motion to xxxxx (discuss, close, revisit?) the previous question."
"I make motion to adjourn" or "I move to adjourn".
