I wouldn't get rid of any old system to get another. You will end up regretting it once you choose you want to play an SNES game again.

Just save up a little more to buy and have both systems.

You should get a wii. They are $150 max. And not the wiiU. I'm talking about the wii before the WiiU. You can sell her super nintendo stuff if you want, so that you can by the Wii. And you can also play gamecube games as well as Wii games.
