Why do I have to be the one who contacts my friends if they don't even try to contact me?

I have this one friend I try to get her to hangout with me just to you know get to know the person better, better the friendship but it's like I'm trying in the friendship and she's not. Not all my friends do this but some. I question the friendship sometimes.

Don't contact them first any more. Try to keep yourself occupied with hobbies.

If you are the first to start every convince and the first time text or call, stop and see if she will. If she shows no signs of wanting to speak with you, let it go. Sometimes people are to nice to say they are not interested. Make it easy for her.

She probably isn't as into the friendship as you are. Unless you feel like you just haven't cracked her shell yet, leave her alone and see how it works for you.

You should question it, because it isn't a friendship. When you are making all the running, it is a sign that the other person just isn't interested. Be realistic when making friendships and if developing it amounts to much less than 50-50, move on.
