Limiting yourself to a most favorite anything is limiting yourself in my mind. Why pick one or even several? Music has been a big part of my life for years and I have been able to do lots of stuff because of it. Its part of my makeup what makes me who I am. Whether is playing a charity concert for a few hundred people or playing at Wembley (its never happened I am using it as a potential item on my wishlist thats never going to happen) its not right to limit myself. Now I am not bashing in anyway someone who wants to do that its just for me an impossible task.

Definitely Rush. It was the Smashing Pumpkins and Tool for a while, but Rush has surged up the ladder. Just overall, a great and musically provocative band. They're a band that evolves with the times, but never just goes with what's popular. They adapt to the sound of that time and make it their own. Hard rocking, Zeppelin-esque in the early 70's, prog metal epics in the late 70's. New-Wave and jazzier stuff in the 80's, and back to harder material in the 90's and 00's. Among the most diverse and musically talented bands of all time.

It all started growing up with my dad's music collection from Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Foo Fighters, RHCP, Nine Inch Nails, Korn, Garbage, Green Day, The Offspring, Blink 182, Depeche Mode, U2, Duran Duran, Sugar Ray, Third Eye Blind, etc. when I wasn't even a kid, later on, I would be listening to Linkin Park, Evanescence, Muse, Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Paramore, Rise Against, System of a Down, Seether, Death Cab for Cutie, etc. It's hard to me to have a number one favorite group, because a lot of them are amazing even when there are terrible or mediocre groups to come by (e.g. Creed).

It's tied between The Antlers and Death Cab For Cutie, presently.
