40 × 10^x > 2 000 000

1.4^x > 50 000

log(1.4^x) > log(50 000)

x log(1.4) > log(50 000)

x > log(50 000) / log(1.4)

x > 32.16

When the number of views first exceeds 2 000 000, x = 32.16
40 * 1.4^x = 2000000
1.4^x = 2 * 10^6 / (4 * 10)
1.4^x = 2 * 10 * 10 * 10^4 / (4 * 10)
1.4^x = 5 * 10^4
x * log(1.4) = log(5 * 10^4)
x * log(1.4) = log(5) + 4
x = (4 + log(5)) / log(1.4)
