1. 2m-nx=x+4 for x

2. ax+2xy=14 for y

3. A=(f+g)h for g (That f+g/2 is a fraction. . !)
2

4. Error Analysis. Describe and correct the error made in solving the literal equation for n.
Literal Equation:
2m=-6n+3
2m+3=n
-6

5. Geometry. The formula for the volume of a cylinder is V=πr2h ( The number 2 is supposed to be small goes above the r ), Where r is the cylinder's radius and h is its height. Solve the equation for h. What is the height of a cylinder with volume 502.4cm3 ( Again, three goes above the m ) and radius 4 cm? Use 3.14 for π.

Thank you in advance!

1.
2m - nx = x + 4
-nx = -2m + x + 4
nx = 2m - x - 4
x = (2m - x - 4)/n

2.
ax + 2xy = 14
2xy = 14 - ax
y = (14 - ax)/2x

3.
A = [(f + g)/2] h
[(f + g)/2] h = A
(f + g)/2 = A/h
f + g = 2A/h
g = (2A/h) - f
or g = (2A - hf)/h

4.
Error :
Rearrange the +3 on the right should become -3 on the left.

Correction :
2m = -6n + 3
2m - 3 = -6n
(2m - 3)/(-6) = n

5.
V = π r² h
Then, h = V / (π r²)

h = (502.4 cm³) / [3.14 × (4 cm)²]
h = 10 cm

Height of the cylinder = 10 cm
