The term "integers" means "whole numbers".

Integers can be divided into 3 classes :
(1) positive integers, i.e., 1, 2, 3, 4 ......
(2) zero, i.e. 0
(3) negative integers, i.e. -1, -2, -3, -4 ......

-2 is a whole number, and thus it is an integer (a negative integers).

An integer is any whole value, non-fraction, positive or negative. So yes, -2, is an integer...
