l = 2w - 18.25
2w + 2l = 113.5
=> 2w = 113.5 - 2l
sub into 1st eqn ->
l = 113.5 - 2l - 18.25
3l = 95.25
l = 31.75 inches, w = 113.5 - 63.5 = 40 inches
2w + 2l = 113.5
=> 2w = 113.5 - 2l
sub into 1st eqn ->
l = 113.5 - 2l - 18.25
3l = 95.25
l = 31.75 inches, w = 113.5 - 63.5 = 40 inches

Then, the length = 2y - 18.25 inches
Perimeter :
2 × [y + (2y - 18.25)] = 113.5
6y - 36.5 = 113.5
6y = 150
y = 25
2y - 18.25 = 31.75
Its dimensions : 31.75 × 25 cm
Then, the length = 2y - 18.25 inches
