Leave our cat and get a dog? 10 points?

My parents got me a cat. I loved her more than anyone in the house.. So recently they told me to leave our cat and get a dog I'm a dog lover the main thing is that she needs to get married and have kittens my mother won't stand that..other than this she attacks us a lot and all of my hand and legs has scarthes all over it so the question is if I leave the cat to another family will it be heartbroken? Sad deppresed ? Or it will just love the new family? Will it run away? Thanks

Pets are forever - we don't trade them for one we might like better in the same way you would treat an old sweater. And your cat doesn't need to have kittens - she needs to be spayed! Be responsible, get her spayed. Trim her claws. That will end the hormonal scratching she is doing.

Your cat may be depressed if you give her away. Also, it looks like you love your cat! I think you should keep her, she sounds amazing.
