(17/-13) * (7/5) = - 119/65

All those numbers are prime, so you can just multiple across. There is no simplifying beyond that:
17 --> 7 ----> 119
---- x ----- = ---------
-13 --> 5 ---> -65

But then bring the negative sign to the front.

Answer:
-119/65 (or as a mixed number -1 54/65)

To multiply fractions you multiply the two numerators and the two denominators. so 17/-13 x 7/5 = (17*7) / (-13*5). Looks easier already, right?

17*7 is 119. -13*5 is -65. So it's 119/-65 or -(119/65).

I don't believe that fraction can be simplified, so that's the final answer.
