Preparation of dry calcium carbonate from calcium chloride?

Perform the reaction as shown. The resulting NaCl will be dissolved in solution. The CaCO3 will be a precipitate. Collect the CaCO3 precipitate by decanting the liquid off, or by filtration. Then dry the CaCO3 in an oven set at a temperature high enough to drive off the remaining water, but low enough to avoid decomposing the CaCO3.
