soak rolled oats the night before required and then they can have it in the morning, either as muesli or cooked with additional fruit, yogurt or creme fraiche, for example.

Peanut butter and jelly tortilla roll-ups are awesome. Even better: peanut butter and Nutella... Tortilla roll-ups, however, should be refrigerated overnight so they won't be squishy.

I have always done bacon, sausage, ham, breakfast steaks and fried eggs with biscuits and gravy! Keeps kids going strong until lunch time! Drinks offered were always OJ and Milk!! It takes me about 15 minutes to get all that on the table! Shove the biscuits into the oven, start meat and gravy! It always took the girls longer to do the bathroom routine than it took me to make breakfast!

A quick healthy breakfast for kids or adults is Quaker Old Fashioned Oats. Prepare as many portions as you need for 2-3 days on a Sunday or in the evening. When heating the water add 1 tablespoon each walnuts and raisins for each portion of oatmeal to the water. When the water boils, stir in the oats and cook, stirring occasionally 5-7 minutes. Allow to cool and refrigerate. In the morning just add as much oatmeal to a bowl as you need and heat on high in the microwave for about 1-2 minutes. Add a little milk or half & half for creaminess. No sure needed, the raisins sweeten the cereal.

Other good, healthy and quick breakfast meals are:
Peanut butter and sliced banana sandwich on whole grain bread.

Top a lightly toasted English muffin half with a slice of tomato and low fat cheese, place under the broiler for a few seconds for a breakfast pizza.

Smoothies made with a frozen banana, a few tablespoons of peanut butter and plain yogurt.

Eggs cooked anyway served with whole grain bread/toast and some slice tomatoes or just make hard boiled eggs sandwiches on whole grain toast. Include the sliced tomato.

It is important for kids to have protein for breakfast because it give them more long lasting energy than sugar and starch so they should stay alert until lunch time.
