It alternating current (AC) and microwave radiation the same thing in a microwave oven?

Since alternating current is electric charges that change directions, and the microwave radiation is formed by electrons?

I think it's apples and oranges. Electricity is not an electromagnetic wave. Electricity can cause an electromagnetic wave but that is not what it is. Electricity is confined to the wire. Microwaves can travel through empty space... Nope! Definitely not the same.
