I cannot do math at all?

I've always sucked at math and in class I can't remember anything from the last lesson, even if it was the day before. I try my best to study hard but it never helps. I've been tested for Dyscalculia but my results tested negative.
I just tried to do a Linear Relationships assignment and I threw my book across the room (it was a great throw btw) because I got so frustrated with it.
I have no idea what I'm going to tell my math teacher but I know for sure I'm going to fail.
What the hell is wrong with me?

You should never try to memorize math. There are a lot of equations and formulas. Some people have the skill to understand it easily, others don't. So you need to make an effort. It can be frustrating to do on your own if you keep making mistakes, so ask a friend to study with you. They don't need to be a math genius. Other people can notice your mistakes, have different understanding to the question, remember different steps...u will also do the same thing. Work on some problems, when you get home try to do it by yourself. First do the same problem, but don't keep on doing the same question over and over because you will just memorize it but not understand the steps you're taking

There is always an easier way to do a math problem. Teachers teach the proper, more formal, way to do math. Go on youtube and look at all the math videos. The people on there show you, explain to you, more easier ways to do math problems.

Yeah as ed said try looking at some videos on youtube. I know I did that when my teacher started confusing me. Also even though this is a long shot sometimes one by one lesson with a teacher is good. I knew teachers who were confusing when the taught our whole class but after school they were great when you asked them for help.

You could just follow my rules...

1) Avoid math whenever possible.
2) Buy a good pair of running shoes.
3) Run in the opposite direction of any person posing a math related question. If cornered run in a circle or play dead.
Whatever number comes next) When someone asks you some math related question, see number one, two and three.

Listen nothing is wrong with you... Some people just aren't capable of doing on there own or at other peoples desired pace. Get in touch with your school counselor (I know it isn't what you probably want to do) and they can and will help you. If all else fails talk to the teacher and see if you can go in for private lessons. Or ask friends.
Sorry it's a bit outta order but I hope it helped.

It shows you the problem and how to do it. Don't use this to cheat or you will be worse than ever before.

You're far from alone. Math-wise, I hit the wall when I tried to grasp algebra, but I never could, no matter how hard I tried.

Your just a regular high school student lmao. Some people can do math, others read or write, you can't be good at everything. I personally failed every single math test last school year (i only passed cause of all the extra credit) but i love to read and can write better than most people. Just laugh at the Fs that pile on your desk and be grateful you don't actutally need to know algebra to survive in the world

Are you seeking extra help during lunch/after school? Maybe you need to be placed in a math class with a slow pace? Try to get help for yourself

I believe that you got a summary and examples on your math book, that would help you. If your books don't get one, you can go to math is fun(a website), It is a great tool for revision.
