When it rains why doesn't the sun get put out?

I mean the sun is made of fire, so... I don't really know what happens when it rains. Is there like a chemical reaction or something?

Have you ever noticed it gets darker when it rains? Yep, that's the rain putting out the sun. But, the sun is resourceful like thieves and uses the Hydrogen from the H2O in the rain to start up more fusion, which is why after it storms...the sun comes back!

That's because the Sun puts up its umbrella

The sun is 93 millions miles away. What happens on earth has no effect on the sun.

Because I protect the sun for us all, you're welcome.

It s because the sun hides when it rains - don t you ever notice that? I usually can t see then sun when it rains.

The sun is very laid back and consequently it is neither annoyed nor inconvenienced when it rains. We should strive to follow its example.

The same reason why a warm wind blows the stars around.

It does, but a gang of flaming trolls reignite it.

Rain is in the atmosphere, not millions of miles away from the earth. Also, even if it did rain on the sun, rain can't put out a natural fusion reaction.
Fusion > Water

rain falls from the earth's atmosphere. the earth's atmosphere is at a large distance from the sun. therefore, the sun's temperature does not effect the rainfall we have here on earth in the way you assume it does.

rain is on the earth & not on the sun.
the sun is 15 crore kilometer away from our earth
2015-08-14 1:29 pm
Because rain only falls DOWN on the earth, not UP to the Sun
I suppose this is a wind-up anyway !

I shouldn't pander to trolls but:
If the sun was a campfire, the entire earth would be one drop of rain. The sun is that big and that far away. Thankfully, the clouds, rain and the sky are right here on earth, a long long way away from the sun.

no no no

The sun is about 150 million in away from the earth and the clouds. Have you ever noticed how when clouds float across the sky the sun gets hidden behind the clouds. This is because it is above the clouds but a long way above. Even if the sun was a bit closer rain only rains down not up because of gravity.

Clouds are just floating areas of water. It rains when the water is to heavy to stay up floating!!! Rain is not to do with a chemical reaction!
