What is the source of Internet ?

The internet is an interconnection of computers.For example the device you are using to surf the net is part of the internet.
Let me explain using a long story.
So basically there was this one guy who made an awsome video and wanted to share it with his friends.But this was before the "internet existed" So what does he do? He thinks about it for a really long time and decides to take a long cable and connect it to his friends house.What he has just done is form a network.The two computers can now communicate,he can now send the video! But wait his other friends also want to see the video he created and he also wants to see their videos.So they connect to each other using cables.In a school nearby , the students each have a computer and would like to send files to each other so they use cables to connect to each other and form a "network" , a "school network".Back to the original story: so the guy after sending his video to his friends discovers his brother left his homework and so he connects one of his computer to one school computer and what he has just done is create an "internet" an interconnection of computer networks.The school network is now connected to the home network and he can send the file to his brother! Now after sending so many videos to his friend (lets call the guy "Mark") Mark finds it too tedious to send his video file to everyone of his friends.So what does Mark do? He decides to tell his friends that he will chose one computer to upload all his videos to.So he picks one out of the basement and uploads all his videos, so instead of him having to send the file to everyone, everyone can simply go to one computer address (each computer has an address, its kind of like a name , like today's modern IP address) And he also tells his friends not to manually send their videos but to send their videos to the same computer he sends his videos.So everyone can easily find what they want and so he calls the computer "youtube" Mark also finds it difficult to send his message to everyone of his friends so he tells them that he has taken another computer from his basement that he will use to leave his messages on and also encourages his friends to use the computer to send messages to each other and calls it "whats ap"
Mark then feels very happy that everything has been simplified.

Thats a basic idea of how the internet works.There is no individual person who "owns" or "controls" the internet, there is also no one source of the internet.Everyone contributes to the internet, technically without us the internet would exist.The internet is just an interconnection of computer networks, like Marks home network being connected to the school network and a company also connecting theirs and it goes on and on and on.

The internet isn't stored in a single place, the internet is only a means of communication. If you went to facebook, you would be receiving the pages you view from facebook's servers that are in what's called a data center. Same goes for most websites.

The internet is a communication system that connects computers together. Nothing more, nothing less. Thousands of people own the different circuits and devices used for connecting the computers in a standard way. It's not magic. Computers talked to each other for many years prior to the internet.
