I had problems in work because of a T-shirt?

I bought this t-shirt http://smartitbuy.com/s/?p=3072 and went on work with it and my Boss told me to not wear this t-shirt at work anymore. We don't work with clients directly all I do is to speak by the telephone... What do you think?

You have two choices:
1. Wear what the company thinks is appropriate. If you can't do this without harboring resentment, that is a problem you need to address with a therapist.

2. Wear the shirt and tell the boss you are in the right. The downside is that you may get fired and will definitely have a bad work reference. That is forever.

It's a t-shirt, for heaven's sake. You are overthinking a total non-issue.

Your employer is allowed to institute a dress code.

You never know who might come in to the office. If your boss wants you to look professional, then you need to do so.

In fact today my boss apologize for his behavior and told me that I can wear this T-shirt :) And of course I won't wear it anymore - I know it is a stupid one, but I like it. Anyway I'll wear it only at spare time.

That shirt is unprofessional looking and stupid. Your boss doesn't want to see it because it undermines the very idea of a professional workspace. Wear clothes that give the impression of, "I want to be here and I want to do a great job." It really isn't that difficult to figure out.

In other words, welcome to the real world.

There is a reason the boss is called a "Boss" It means she can tell people what to do, and that include setting a work dress code.

If it is a problem, talk to your union rep. Don't have a union? then you are on your own.
