The displacement from equilibrium of an object in harmonic motion on the end of a spring is given below, where y is measured in feet and t is the time in seconds. Determine the position y(t) and velocity v(t) of the object when t = π/4.
y = 1/7 cos(6t) − (1/6) sin(6t)

y(π/4) = ft. I know that y=1/6 feet
v(π/4) = ft./sec. What is v??

✔ 最佳答案
i) y(t) = (1/7) cos(6t) − (1/6) sin(6t)
y(pi/4) = (1/7) cos(3pi/2) − (1/6) sin(3pi/2) = 1/6 ft
ii) v(t) = y' = (-6/7)sin(6t) - cos(6t)
v(pi/4) = 6/7 ft/s
