Can you separate the art from the artist?

I think it's pretty hard to separate the art from the artist. Think of Hitler's art, for example. It's pretty good but no one likes it obviously because he killed millions of Jews and you can't look at his art without thinking about it. Also, Miley Cyrus. Her song Wrecking Ball is actually pretty good but she has been acting pretty trashy lately so no one likes it. Since art is an expression of who you are, I think it's pretty hard to like it without liking the artist.
