I don't understand why he went on the hunt in the first place. Even ignoring where the lion came from, why did he agree to hunt a lion at all? Wild or on a reserve, lions are endangered, and this guy's weak excuse about not knowing where the lion came from is just that - weak.

As for punishment, he should be returned to Zimbabwe to face any charges in that country. As for punishment in the US, I'm pretty sure his patients will take care of that nicely when they all decide to find a different dentist for their dental care.
