當量詞和數字連成一起作為形容詞的時候，我們會用單數 (singular) 而不用眾數 (plural)，同時也會加上連字號 (hyphen)。

你指出的 4 day flight 應該是 4-day flight 才對，但有時候有人忽略了那個 hyphen，導引你有這個疑惑。

其他例子：
He is 6 years old. 〔加 6 是數著 years，兩個字，year 要加 s〕
He is a 6-year-old boy. 〔6, year, old 連在一起作形容詞，加 hyphen，year 不加 s〕

其他例子：
He will join a trip which lasts for two months. 〔加 s〕
He will join a two-month trip. 〔不加 s〕
