They are not interested in reporting on cold temperatures, except maybe if the activists issue a press release declaring that this is 'just weather' or maybe even 'caused by global warming.'

Probably because during the heat wave the highest temperature ever was set for Germany, but there were no all-time records set for a country during the cool spell.
