Every pet is an "emotional support" pet. That's why we keep them as pets, because they make us feel better. Duh.

"emotional support" animals are not protected under ADA because the animal is not trained to perform any service. Therefore it is not legally a service animal.

"Emotional support" pets don't have any special legal recognition. They are NOT service dogs. Your landlord is under no obligation to allow you to have one.

ESA's are not covered by the ADA, so your LL could deny you permission to have one.

No. Play with your roommates dog.

Did you tell the manager that it was an emotional support animal? They dont have to approve you having even one. Your roommate should have only one.
