Camry speakers aren't so bad. They play full range and are strong enough to handle all the radio gives them. There are speakers that can handle more power, but that won't make them any louder- just more resistant to distortion, and maybe the fidelity is better. I think your Toyota speakers are as good or better than the Sony speakers. Go to a stereo shop and listen to some 6x9 speakers and choose some that are better than what you have, but keep in mind, your stereo isn't going to grow into a more powerful one just because the speakers are stronger. Check your car and make sure you don't have a factory subwoofer under the seat that you have not adjusted for.

I'd be careful. I replace some stock speakers with High-end DLS speakers, and TBH, for bass, the stock speakers were far and away better! Sitting in my brother BMW, some stock systems aren't half bad nowadays, so be careful, especially when dipping into the price range you're looking at. You could end up with something worse, and paying $50 -70 for it!

About the best 6x9's out there for bass reproduction are the $200/pair Infinity Reference Series 603IX. You'll need a good amp rated at 75-100 watts RMS per channel to drive them well though. Best bang for the buck is the JBL P963 costing $90 a pair at Sonic Electronics online. They should also be powered by a good amp rated at 50-100 watts RMS. At $70 a pair, about the best are made by DLS. These would do nicely: http://www.amazon.com/DLS-257-2-Way-Speakers/dp/B00A4OLYY8 They should be driven by up to 50 watts RMS per channel if possible for best sound. Any of the above will do alright on the typical 15-25 watt stereo system, but perform better when driven with close to their rated continuous (RMS) power.

If you are limited in only spending $70 tops for a set of 6x9's the JVC CS-V6938 would give you the best bang for the buck.
