Which area to stay in London? S. Kensington or Bloomsbury?

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone could provide me some suggestions. I'm planning to go to London for a week in September. I did some research on the web already, and I have narrowed down two areas to stay: S. Kensington or Bloomsbury. I prefer staying in an area with access to the tube, transportation to the airport as well as restaurants. Also, I may either arrive at Heathrow or London City Airport. Can someone advise??? Thank you all

They're both central with good locations and facilities.

Look at what hotels you can find and afford.

They are both fine Both Bloomsbury (Russell Square Station) and South Kensington are on a direct tube line from Heathrow. From London City Airport you will need to take the Docklands Light Railway and connect into the Tube at an interchange station. Don't forget that the Tube makes up only a part of London's excellent transport system.
We have 500 bus routes Light Rail and Rail as well. Don't pay cash. Buy yourself an Oyster Card or Visitor Oyster Card.
