1 What is ‘out-of-plane’ buckling? Will this be the critical failure mode is the effective length is the same about the x and y axis for a UC section?

2 What is ‘in-plane’ buckling? Will this be the critical failure mode is the effective length is the same about the x and y axis for a UB section?

3 What is ‘out-of-plane’ buckling? Will this be the critical failure mode is the effective length is the same about the x and y axis for a RHS section?

4 What is ‘in-plane’ buckling? Will this be the critical failure mode is the effective length is the same about the x and y axis for a SHS section?

It means the buckling of I section

The buckling of round section
