What would you do in this situation??

If you were a 35 year-old medical school applicant with no acceptance and only waitlists from allopathic medical school, what do you do??

Option 1:
Take a job offer in a nearby hospital; study for the MCAT again; apply again in a few years. (But by that time, you may be 37 y.o.).

Option 2:
Take a job offer; see what educational reimbursement or professional advancement opportunities there are at the job.

Option 3:
Option 1 and 2 combined. So it'd be making time to study for the MCAT, do a full-time job, and learn other value professional skills such as accounting, basic programming.

Any thoughts?

If it truly looked like med school was a fantasy thought, I would move on, because you could be chasing that dream for years. If it looked like a reasonable proposition with a little tweaking, then consider pursuing. The older you get, however, the harder it will be, and your science pre reqs begin to expire, and your chances do start to drop again.

Option 1 seems the most sensible, doesn't it?

Do a second entry nursing program and become a RN

Get a job. Chase the bucks. Forget medicine.

Why not consider nursing/nurse practitioner/physician's assistant? You would probably get into one of those programs and from there you could go to med school if you still want to.
