This is the exact wording for Section 3(2) of Land Registration Ordinance (Hong Kong Ordinances Chapter 128).
"Bona fide (真誠)" basically means good faith.
Each contract has an implied (not expressed written) term of implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing. In short, when parties sign a contract, they must be in good intention to be bound by the contract (for example, when you sign a 1-year service contract for mobile phone service, you have the intention to use the service for a year and the provider is willing to offer the service for a year as well).
Applying to Section 3(2), the term "bona fide purchaser (真誠買方)" means purchaser that has every intend to complete the purchase in good faith.
In short, Section 3(2) voids everything for the failure to registration a land transaction, except,
a. When the transaction was hostile in nature (such as adverse possession or any compulsory sale);
b. When the transaction was a lease with less than 3 years in duration.
