i am flying air france to Hong Kong over summer, am i allow to bring my skateboard on to the plane??

hi guys, i am going on holiday and i thought it will be cool to skate in Hong Kong and make some video, and I wanted to know if I can bring my skateboard on the plane with me. Can I carry it and Can I bring it in a bag? Explain in details please. I'd rather carry it with my hands but I'll put it in a suitcase if I have to. (i'll have one of them sport bag to carry as well.)

It's not just the length of the skateboard that prevents you from being able to bring it as carry on but that airlines consider it as sporting goods so you either have to put it in your checked bag or check it in a separate bag.

In most cases your skateboard is too long for carry on.The airline you are using has specif information on the maximum length that can go as carry on. In your checked luggage suggest taking off the wheels and pack it with your clothes.
