Remember the basic structure: have done something
1. He/She/It has done something.
2. I/We/They/You have done something.

Past participle (or pp) = the third column of your verb table, e.g.
do, did, *DONE*
go, went, *GONE*
drink, drank, *DRUNK*
But some "pp" are the same as the present tense, e.g.
put, put, *PUT*
become, became, *BECOME*
run, ran, *RUN*

This tense is used to suggest something in the past still has an effect on the present. Here are some examples.
1a. I have just finished my homework. (just = 剛剛)
1b. I have finished my dinner just now. (just now = 剛剛)
2a. I have ever been to Macau. (ever = 曾經)
2b. I have never been to Europe. (never = 從未)
3. Geraldine, have you bought the vegetables for dinner yet? ("yet" is used in question)
4a. I have worked for Toastmasters for 9 years. (have done sth + for a period)
4b. I have worked for Toastmasters since 2006. (have done sth + since a time)
5a. I have completed the project (already). (have done sth + already)
5b. I have not completed the project (yet). (have not done sth + yet)
Words in bracket can be omitted.
6. I have recently (最近) used the free homework service at
[email protected]! The tutor answered questions in English, Maths and Science free of charge.
