請問一句英文的文法問題

stationary(=writing materials) is common collective nouns,not in eg.
uncountable nouns always singular in number,not in eg.
some nouns have no plural forms although they are not material nouns,eg:-baggage, furniture, luggage, rubbish, bread.,not in eg.
B:- There are ( an eraser and a ruler) on the desk.

I would say B is correct. Not sure about Dark Helmet's argument.

句型: There be N 有~ (表存在)

1. There為代位主詞,N才是真正的主詞,因此be動詞的單複數要看其後的N

2. 空格後面為 an eraser and a ruler 為二個個別的東西,視為複數,因此空格要填are

按文法規則There + be的be與後面的主詞在數上要一致，但在口語時，there is常被當成固定的形式在使用。
There are an eraser and a ruler on the desk.
=An eraser and a ruler are there on the desk.
主詞是1+1 = 2（複數）
所以按文法要用there are ....

A 是正確的

這種句型的B動詞決定於接下來的第一個名詞， 假設書桌上有一支尺和兩個橡皮擦，就看先提到的是單數或複數， 如：

There is a ruler and two erasers on the desk.

There are two erasers and a ruler on the desk.
