My cat is foaming from the mouth?

The vet told me to get a sleeping pill for my cat so I can cut the mats off of her she not sleeping like she said she would she foaming from the mouth and hiding she won't let us touch her is this bad should I be worried I'm freaking out right now

Call the vet right away. The sleeping pill came form the vet right? It wasn't one meant for people?

A lot of sedatives the vet has will make a cat foam if it was bitten into before going down the throat.
If you used a HUMAN sleeping pill, those are toxic to cats.
