is it just me or do the high-elves off skyrim have the for-heads of neandrathals?

All the elves in Elder-Scrolls games do indeed have strangely pronounced foreheads. They're descended from a totally different ancestry and are made by entirely different Aedra (or Gods), and thus look very different. It's been a classic feature in all the Elderscrolls games up to 'Online' that Elves have strange facial features. 'Online' more-or-less ditched this because they were worried people wouldn't play an 'ugly' race.
