Can the PS4 sense when you are near it?

I don't have the Playstation Camera. I left my PS4 on for a while and the screen turned dark, like it normally does when you don't touch it for a while, but as soon as I walked by my PS4, the screen turn back to normal. Pretty weird.

No, it doesn't, not without the camera. You may have moved the controller or something, but it cannot detect when you're near it without the camera.

Yeah I'm fairly certain it has a motion sensor on the actual console no camera necessary! :O
