DOES ACTIVATED CARBON STILL WORK IN SOAPS, SHAMPOOS, TOOTHPASTES, &C.??
If activated carbon works by adsorption, how can it still adsorb skin grease, bacteria, dead skin cells, &c., if it's already incorporated into the wet gunk; i.e., the shampoo or whatever? I can understand putting activated c in foot powder since it's dry, but won't mixing it into a wet product plug up the pores and prevent adsorption on the skin? Thanks a million in advance for the answer! :D Can't find anything on Google about this... Never bought anything with act. c in it --- except for foot powder --- for the past five years since my secondary level teacher broached this topic in class...

Since activated carbon isn't used in soap, shampoo, or toothpaste, that's probably an indication that it doesn't work, and probably for the reason you give.
