What is your favorite game and why?

I have a few if that's okay?
- The Assassin's Creed series. Excellent series, very creative and different. Not your average open-world RPG, but the storyline can not be topped. It gets very emotional and with all the historical people and landmarks, it becomes quite educational.

- Mass Effect. Another fantastic series, inspired by Star Wars and created by the same people of SW:KotoR. Even though this game is purely science fiction, there's more history in the Mass Effect Universe than Tolkien put in Middle-Earth. I also think it's the greatest storyline ever created. Another game that gets very emotional.

- Gears of War. Standard military science fiction linear FPS game. But (IMO) it tops any other FPS game out there. Great multiplayer, creative weapons, but more importantly, another fantastic and emotional storyline.

Um, chess? JK. Well, sort of. My favorite video games right now are the Dragon Age series. For board games my all time favorite is Clue. For card games, we've been playing a lot of Rummy 500 and Cribbage recently.

Edit... forgot the reason part. I suppose I like chess because I'm pretty good at it. I like the Dragon Age series because of the game play and story plus the ability to build the character as you want and the story. I like those two card games because they're relatively easy to play when you're bored. As for Clue, I don't know, it's just more fun than other games like Monopoly.
