中翻英四題 看我寫的對不對

"他人的生命"到底怎麼翻? the lives of the other?? the lives of some other persons?這兩個也行嗎?

用 others' lives 比較通順. 就像第一題是 people's attention, 第三題 their thoughts 一樣. 這三個地方都不適合用 of.

另外, 第二題的appears that 的意思是: 看起來好像, 似乎是的意思. 並不是你要中文表達的意思.

再來, 花時間做某件事, spend 後面的動詞要用動名詞:
spend time/money on something
spend time/money (in) doing something
