-why would they do this? clone us, and send us to a planet?

For people that BELIEVE in the "theory that we were cloned", how do you think it happened? (if you don't believe, don't answer/thanks)?

Sarah and her sisters were cloned. And Mark and his brothers are clones.
But as far as I know only Project Castor and Project Leda had successful clones.

Erich von Daniken and few other authors have explored the idea of humans being the result not of cloning but genetically enhancing existing species living on the planet
it would certainly explain a few issues with human evolution
the idea that a superior species came to earth, needed workers and engineered primates is appealing as an idea
though like all such theories .. wheres the evidence .. wheres the archeology that supports advanced peoples having lived here
