Vertical forces in equilibrium:
T.cos(theta) + 30.cos(65) = 45 -------------- (1)
where T is the tension in AC

Horizontal forces in equilibrium:
T.sin(theta) = 30.sin(65) ------------- (2)
From (1) and (2),

Can you solve for T and angle (theta)?

✔ 最佳答案
{ T cos θ + 30 cos(65°) = 45
{ T sin θ = 30 sin(65°)

{ T cos θ = 45 - 30 cos(65°) ...(B)
{ T sin θ = 30 sin(65°) ... (A)

(A) ÷ (B) gives
tan θ = 30 sin(65°) / [45 - 30 cos(65°)]
θ = tan⁻¹{ 30 sin(65°) / [45 - 30 cos(65°)] }
θ = 40.07099112°

Put back to (B),
T = 30 sin(65°) / sin θ
T = 42.23660371

"Put back to (B)" should be "Put back to (A)".
