Please vertify whether my calcuation is correct or not, Tks

The hang time of a basketball player is the time that he can stay in the air after
jumping. When an player jumps, he has an upward velocity of 4m/s when his feet
leave the group.

1. Estimate his hang time
2. Estimate the highest position of his feet during the jump
3. The player can reach a height of 2.4 m when he raisees and stretches his
arms. Can he reach a hop which is 3.1 m above the group.

1. v = u + at
0 = 4 + (-10) t
t = 0.4

hang time = 0.4 x 2 = 0.8s

2. v^2 - u^2 = 2as
-(4)^2 = 2 (-10) (s)
s = 0.8m

3. 2.4 + 0.8 = 3.2m
Hence, he can reach the hoop.
