So, I've to decided to build my own gaming PC rather than buying a pre-build (mainly the rog g20aj), and I know what the building process is like and everything, but I was wondering if anyone could recommend any builds?
+shell/casing
+motherboard
+GPU (though, I've got my eyes set on the GTX980)
+RAM
+etcetera....
And where to buy them.
Can anyone suggest some custom gaming PC builds?

As far as I have seen, the AMD APUs are the route you want to go. They are %70 CPU and %30 GPU. The A10 black is about $150 and will rip through anything you throw at it.

Edit: my budget will range from $500-$1000, or just generally anything that you can name. I want to build it myself, and I plan on running games like Battlefield 4, Insurgency, Gmod, Arma, Red Orchestra 2, etc.
