Sell it on eBay and buy yourself a lens that is specifically designed for your camera. Considering the cost of a lens mount adapter (if you can even use one in the first place), and the hassle of using the lens in manual only, it doesn't make sense to use the lens when you can buy a used one that works for about the same price as the lens adapter.
Quantaray is re-badged Sigma and Tamron lenses, depending on what day of the week they were buying.
If the lens is for anything but Nikon F mount already, you probably won't be able to adapt it. Nikon lenses can be adapted to everything else, but the reverse is not true. Tell Uncle thanks, but no thanks.
Quantaray rebadges lenses made by third-party lens makers. The only way you can get an adapter if ever needed, is to identify the lens mount installed to your lens. You can bring the lens to a qualified technician, you can compare the mount to existing pictures on the internet or you can post a clear picture of the bare rear end of the lens here.
Not again !
With these generic lenses, it doesn't matter what's written on the front, but what's at the back. Quantaray put their labels on the latest batch of lenses which were made in different versions to fit any number of manufacturers - you could start by asking your uncle which camera he had.
You'll lose autofocus and metering in any case, but if the lens is in Nikon fit, you may only lose autufocus.
