Actually, the restrictions are not on food stamps. They are on TANF - welfare. In addition to including all the food restrictions and the rule against using your welfare to pay for Caribbean cruises, they require you to withdraw no more than $25 a day. You tell me - how many one day withdrawals would they have to make to pay rent of $400? And since every transaction is charged a fee, how much more than $400 will you actually be paying for rent? And since it would take 16 days to collect it all, what are they supposed to live in for those 16 days, since they have to save it up for rent?
This is just the typical "punish the poor" tactics that high handed people who have never been poor put on people because they are selfish.
