I am a former chef and type 2 diabetic, I use very little sugar, I find if you have to use any, try to use unprocessed raw sugar, like sugar in the raw, or cane extract powder, one with not processing. I was told by my doctor if your going to use anything to use real sugar, but unprocessed ones, there available at Health Food stores.

Perhaps persevere until your taste buds get a bit more used to it?

I find Stevia the least 'fake' tasting.

All of them can have a slightly odd taste until you get used to them - which does not take long at all. Splenda works very well for me...

With artificial sweeteners, less is more. Using too much doesn't make your drink/food sweeter, it makes it taste bitter sometimes or just plain bad. USe the least amount. And yeah, you will just have to get used to it. I grew up with them as my grandma was diabetic as was my mother. You do get used to the taste and also you get used to eating stuff that isn't very sweet.

you use it until you get use to flavor.
i drink diet drinks and when i quit for a while they taste awful when i first drink one but after a few days they taste just fine. i like splenda just fine too. when there are foods i have to avoid for health reasons then i will accept a close substitute. since health issues influence the quality of my life i will seek out pleasure where i can.

The only artificial sweetener I like is Sweet Mate.
