It is NOT impossible to learn, and it is NOT too early.
In many schools, kids are doing algebra (even if they don't call it that, by sixth grade).

7th graders need to know algebra so they can do 8th grade geometry and 9th grade advanced algebra. Advanced algebra is needed in order to do high school chemistry, physics, and pre-calculus before college. Heck, you even need algebra to be able to do a decent spreadsheet in Microsoft Excel.

But, you don't really want to know why, do you? It is clear that you just want to complain.

Algebra is actually one of the easiest topics/areas in math, so it's fairly possible for kids in middle schools to learn it. If you think widely, kids in Asia are taking harder math not because they're smarter but because they're hardworking and the math is doable.

You should be glad, in Northern Ireland we start algebra when you're ten years old, and then continue on from there. So you should feel grateful that you don't start until 7th grade.

I also hate math too, but I realized that math is the foundation of the world, so no matter how much you hate it now, you still have to learn it because it will help you so much later in life.

Seventh grade seems a bit late, in the UK we start basic algebra in Year 7 (Fifth grade). If you left teaching algebara any later, it would delay being able to teach other important maths topics in any detail (geometry, calculus etc.) as well as making large parts of engineering, science, technology, geography etc. lessons much harder.

Because you are 2 years behind the rest of the world in your education anyway, any later and you would be 3 years behind
